Responsible Tourism

At Peak Experience we are profoundly aware of the impact of travel and tourism on the world, in particular where winter sports are concerned.  Yet could anyone imagine a life without the opportunity to visit other countries and participate in the sports we enjoy so much? 

Part of the requirement to be a member of AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) is to support their guidelines on sustainable tourism. Peak Experience has achieved 3 AITO sustainable tourism stars. We are committed to Responsible Tourism both in our office practises and in our dealings in resort, and in order to further minimise our carbon footprint we offer our clients the option to offset carbon emissions generated by their flights.

In 2009, “The Dolomites” mountain range was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The World Heritage Tourism Programme encourages sustainable tourism actions at World Heritage sites. It implements actions to preserve sites for future generations and contributes to sustainable development and intercultural dialogue. It cooperates with World Heritage Advisory Bodies and other United Nations Agencies to maximizes tourism's benefits and minimize its impacts.
